The  beginning of November is a time of honor, celebration and remembrance  for departed loved ones in cultures the world over. Some believe this is  a time when "the veil between worlds is thin", and that we can be in  closer communion with those we have lost.

We  will be hosting an altar build to help our local community acknowledge  our collective grief and loss, honor our dead and our ancestors, and  provide opportunities for healing. Open to all, regardless of your religion  or beliefs. Think of this as an art and healing project that's also a  rite of passage.

You may drop by the Studio anytime between 11am-6pm, from Tuesday, Nov. 1st through Saturday, Nov. 5th, to bring something for the Community Altar. Suggested objects may include: A meaningful  object, work of art, flowers, a votive candle, a photograph of a loved one or pet you have lost, a special piece of jewelry, and so on. Feel free to use  your imagination. 

You can also make use of our workshop space to create  something. We will have a message box on the altar for you to write a  message to loved ones, if you wish.

Studio  staff will be on hand to check in with you, receive your objects, tend  the Altar, and provide technical help with making creative pieces if desired.

Pick  up of Altar items will be on Sunday, November 6th, from 12-2pm. If you can't make it  during this time, please contact us to make other arrangements by calling:

We will hold items in our Lost and Found box for 30 days. Any items left after this time will be donated to charity, or otherwise disposed of.
